I know that server-side integration is the preferred and fully supported method currently. Unfortunately, we have different teams that use different CRM systems, so I need to integrate with both ZenDesk and HubSpot, (and possibly SalesForce in the future) which isn't supported server-side.

I am aware of the client-side template, here, as well as the Visual Studio 2015 limitation.

I am running the latest V16, on Google Cloud Platform.

With that in mind, I have three questions:
  • Are there plans to completely drop client-side integration support, such that I'm going to regret doing this?
  • Are there plans to support multiple integrations on the server-side? (I would like to select which integration is used per queue or extension.)
  • Any other advise you have before I start building out multiple client-side integrations?
Thank you!

Currently there are some integrations that are still client side, like Outlook, DATEV and TAPI, and these can't be moved to server side. So I don't think that the client side approach will be dropped. I'm not aware of plans to drop it. However, I can't promise anything...

This is something that we are considering, because this is a common need for many customers. However, this requires important architectural changes, so can't tell if it will be implemented...
