Is it currently possible or perhaps on a roadmap to allow statuses to be configured by bluetooth proximity or similar? If a user is sitting at their desk, their mobile softphone + windows softphone + deskphone (if applicable) all ring simultaneously. We have counteracted this by setting an "Available (Desk)" status to disable push. Fine, that works to stop the mobile softphone from ringing and gives a clean experience when in the office.

The negative is now people have to do a thing. When users leave their desk they would need to remember to flip a switch to indicate they now need to receive push notifications again to get calls sent to their mobile softphone. We all know how good users are at taking additional steps.

Ideally we'd like to have the user's mobile softphones automatically disable push when in proximity of either their desk phones or windows softphones.

I dont see that feature happening any time soon. Not all PCs and phones have bluetooth.

The solution at the moment is the change of status with the push notifications which has only just been added as a feature in the past year.

I'm guessing something could be cobbled together using a deskphone that is open to automation APIs like IFTTT. Then you could use some type of proximity sensor / geofence and instruct the phone to dial *30 *31 *32 or similar.

Probably. Using some CTI.
