Solved Setting up an EOL phone via STUN

Hi Guys,

For the hell of it I thought id try set up a Yealink T28P since I had it lying around doing nothing.

Yes, Im aware it's unsupported. However, shouldnt I just be able to provide SIP ID/PW and SIP server and have it register like any other?

I mean the template is still there for it.

I'm getting "Reason: Credentials don't match, check that authorization-ID and password match the ones in extension settings "

I'm definately using the right credentials and i've tried turning off the require security certificate on the phone.

Anyone offer some food for though?

Ah, im such a noob.

problem was that the user name is the ext # not the SIP ID.

Im all sorted now.

John - these two lines needs swapping round in the link above

• Set the Register Name field to the extension number you want to associate with your Yealink phone
• Set the User Name field to the extension’s Authentication ID

Thanks for pointing it out, I will report it so we can update it. The guide is from a previous version and this has now indeed changed because we use Auth ID.
