Setting Up Extensions

Hello forum and 3CX support team
I'm just curios why 3CX team forces an end user to set up extension length upon installation?
In my experience I had many companies who uses mixed three-digit for one and 4 digits for another department
A few days ago, I visited a client and was discovered that their current PBX has 3-4-5-6 length extension, and they use this kind setup for years,

If is it possible can developers remove that necessarity?

This was always the case.. You need to specify the length of your extensions on installation. The only way to use different numbers or different length than the other extension is to use sip id...But you wont see this in the team panel.

If I were to make a bold prediction, 3CX will never support multiple extension lengths, nor will they ever allow you to change the length of extensions without a reinstall from scratch. This is, and has always been, a fundamental requirement to use 3CX.
