Hi

I have 2 sip lines coming to the hosted 3cx

1 sip line is being used by extensions 200-299 with caller ID aaaaaa (example)
the second sip is being used by 500-599 with caller id bbbbb (example)

I setup outgoing rules to allow only extensions 200-299 and a second one for 500-599

when trying to dial out from 500-599 get busy

when I remove the rules for the first sip outgoing rules they can dial out (500-599), but sometimes they get caller id from the first sip trunk (aaaaa) instead of the second sip trunk (bbbbb)

is there a way to setup for each group to use their own sip trunk and caller id?

***** on each extension I setup their own caller id *****

Hi @ronenba

The way you are doing it is correct. You need 2 outbound rules one for each group of extensions. You will need to troubleshoot why the calls from trunk B are failing.
Try changing the route for the first outbound rule to trunk B and see if that works. Or create a simple outbound rule for trunk B and put it on top of the list. Then make a call without any caller ID and see if that works.
It could be a case of the trunk not allowing different caller IDs or outbound calls from the trunk do not work at all.

If your system allows access to the 3CX Activity Log (verbose), that log will help you figure out where the call is attempting to route when a busy signal is encountered.

when I remove the rules for the first sip outgoing rules they can dial out (500-599), but sometimes they get caller id from the first sip trunk (aaaaa) instead of the second sip trunk (bbbbb)
Very odd, given you say you removed the first route. That means the caller D from the first trunk remains elsewhere.
