Hi all,
This is probably a stupid question, but I don't seem to be able to find an answer. I have a new customer who is wanting to set up VoIP throughout their office (approximately 46 seats), however they currently heavily use call parking and are wanting to keep the ability to do so. With their current setup, they have 4 dedicated shared parking lines, which they basically use to 'hold' calls while they notify the recipient that the call is waiting for them. I would preferably want to move them away from this mentality, but I think that might be a challenge as it's been ingrained in them for the last 20 odd years.
I was initially looking at having the main desk operating something like a Yealink T57W with an expansion module, and to keep costs down I was just going to have each desk with a basic model phone (something like the Yealink T31P). As this device only has 2 buttons on the screen though, I'm wondering whether that's going to make call parking unviable?
I looked into Park Orbit as well, but these guys are really set on having the ability to see a call parked on their devices.
Is there a way for the receptionist to say, park a call on someone's extension? So if the call is specifically for them, it shows up as parked on their device?
Thanks, just trying to figure out the best way to do this.
May have to bump them up to a T33G.
