Has anyone got this type of phone working with 3CX? Curious if this type of phone would work with the 3CX system.

Let me know if anyone has tried it.

Thanks.

This unit looks very like the S450IP (according to the Gigaset compatability checker) - which I have and which works fine on 3cx as an extension.

I have mine set so incoming PSTN (phone line) calls ring the Gigaset directly (but in my case the incoming calls also go to 3cx as a VoIP call via a SPA3102 ATA. However I do not route this incoming call back to the Gigaset extension or you would get 2 simultaneous but identical incoming calls arriving on the handset from different routes!).

I have the Gigaset set to default outgoing calls via VoIP (i.e. route to 3cx), however if you prefer you can manually select whether an outgoing call should be via VoIP or PSTN. I prefer to let 3cx decide how to route an outgoing call based on my rules.

Hope this helps.

Cjay.

Thanks. It helps. I would use one of these handsets, among many others I would purchase, as extensions inside a church and school. I would route it through the 3CX system and connect with a VOIP provider like Callcentric or Broadvoice.

I assume you have it setup so that each phone is an extension of the 3CX system, and that you could also callout or do internal call transfers the same way?

If so, do you have a setup you could share?

Let me know.

Thanks.

hello,

i tried this phone with 3CX V8 and it's working fine but i didn't try to transfer calls. I used the config of 3CX made for the C470IP.

good luck

works fine for me...

Full SIP In/Out with several lines with 3cx as sip-pbx and Sipcall as a provider. Very easy setup, works great.

cheers

Thanks Cobra. I just got the A580IP yesterday, and got my 3CX reconfigured to use the handset, and followed the C470IP guide. I am using Broadvoice as the provider, since they can transfer our number to them from a current Landline.

I can receive calls fine, but I cannot make calls. I get the 403 error in the Server Activity log.
The Ports/Trunks status is green, as well as the Extension Status. So it seems all is connected well.
I have used no outbound proxy, and tried using Broadvoice's proxy.nyc.broadvoice.com, with the same results.

I assume since the Ports/Trunks status is green, the authentication is ok with the proper user account from my end to Broadvoice.

Here is the logs. Let me know if anything is not right.

There is an IP 147.135.20.221 from which network??

That, I thought, was broadvoices sip.broadvoice.com address. But that is 147.135.32.221. I am not sure what it is, unless it is forwarded from sip.broadvoice.com to that address?

The connection is working fine now. Thanks. It was on broadvoices end.
