We have roughly 30 Fanvil X5U and X6U phones. About two weeks ago the supported firmware was upgraded and all these phones displayed in red color in the Phones view. I used the 3CX initiated firmware update function to bring the phones into compliance. I did about 5 phones at a time. All 30 phone had their firmware updated successfully, however three of the 30 phones did not re-register upon the phone booting with the new firmware. The SIP Registration Failed error message was on the display. This happened on two X6U and one X5U unit. I power cycled these three phones and they came back and registered.
Can you tell me what causes phones that go through a firmware update, a reboot, to not register correctly? Then, after manually intervention of a reboot, and no other changes, these units come back and register correctly?
All ~30 phones are on the same LAN in the same physical space. They are behind three X6U SBC's at the moment as we are awaiting a pie to arrive to become the dedicated SBC.
