SIP Registration

Hi, I am new to 3CX world, We are trying to setup generic SIP Trunk from provider Telone(Zimbabwe). The issue is Telone system is not authenticating giving us a 403 error message. They are saying rinstance appended in the Contact header of SIP is causing the issue. How do we bypass or remove the rinstance field from the request.

is your provider a 3cx supported one ?
if so, did you use 3cx template to set it up ?

rinstance setting is hardcoded and provider should send same parameter value in contact 200 response. so ask your provider to set it .

Generally speaking, 403 means the server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it.

If the provider gave you their reason for rejection as above, then you will not be able to make it work. The rinstance is allowed to be sent there as far as the standards go, its up to the provider to decide to ignore it. The PBX cannot be modified to not send this, its part of the SIP engine.

You will not be able to use 3CX with this provider in this case unfortunately.

They are not 3cx supported, and we used the generic SIP Trunk.

Hopefully they can make an adjustment on their side to stop rejecting your registration.
