Hello,

is there a way to see the complete header of the call coming thru a sip trunk?

we currently have an issue where forwarded from a number X1 (not a trunk but an external number) arriving to our trunk in 3cx, are always displayed with the number X not the original caller ID that originally called X1.

I'm not sure if the original details do not go thru to our trunk, or are in a specific field. I've tried enabling verbose logging and packet capture, but i don't see any specific details on which information arrives to the trunk, it seems all logging is referred to phones invites and messages to app or phone.

I've tried to look into all support logs downloaded from the console, opening them one by one, but didn't see any useful infomation...even in the BLDEF nothing special.

I'm not sure if i'm looking in the wrong place.. or where i should look..

Thanks a lot!
Dave

While, normally, the originator number is sent, when forwarded by the original destination, that could be different due to a number of factors, either at the originating end, or at the original destination end. If this happens on only one instance, you might try different forwarding scenarios using the originator, and number doing the forwarding (I'd suspect the number doing the forwarding)
While you could make use of Wireshark to see all information being sent. I suspect that making any changes, to the 3CX trunks settings, as to where caller ID (not using the "normal" field"), is taken may adversely affect other calls as well.
