Hello !

I just installed 3CX. Firewall check gets everything OK.

I set up a generic trunk using the SIP informations from my FAI all-in-one router (box fibre SFR)

I think that I'm supposed to authenticate (I have id and password), but whenever I set the authentication method to something other than "IP based", the little dot in front of the trunk name becomes red.

I'm sure my IDs are correct as I'm able to make outbound calls from standalone softphone (Zoiper5).

When I try to call outbound from android app, I get "destination not found".
I'm able to call between extensions though.

Any ideas on what I should do ?

this is my setup :

In the log, i get that :

There is no point in trying outbound calls until the trunk shows as registered.

You say...
I think that I'm supposed to authenticate
...but you are not certain?

I'm not familiar with the hardware you are using, who is the provider?

There is the slight possibility, that they do not like the User-Agent, and have restricted registration to certain devices.

SFR is a French FAI. I'm not using a professional offer but a personnal subscription (fiber internet + phone) for wich I succeeded to gather the SIP ID's. I'm not sure about the connexion way because those ID's are not supposed to be known by the user, as there are exclusively made to be used by their all-in-on "box" router, that includes a RJ11 port for a standard phone.

All I know is that I successfully connected to the SIP from a standalone softphone (Zoiper5), both from inside my local network and from 4G network, both from windows and android. That's why I don't think that it is IP resricted. Maybe with Zoiper registration packet, someone could direct me to the way to look ?

Thanks !

Here is the successfull regitration from zoiper on my laptop. The personal data has been anonymized. Just remove txt extension in order to use it.

Just so I'm clear... your provider has supplied you with a box that is registered to them, for phone service. You have "discovered" the parameters to allow you to register another device, which may, or may not be, permitted by them. If that is the case, then they very well may have put in place, obstacles, to prevent this from happening, one of which might be blocking certain User-Agents, or something else. The User-Agent can be spoofed by 3CX, I've seen another provider deliberately block 3CX, many years ago.

Unless someone else, on the forum, has discovered how to get 3CX working, using the method you are attempting, with this hardware, or, you can get your provider to provide assistance, then it is going to be much the same as working with a non-3CX supported provider. The majority of people on the forum, will suggest to use a provider that has been tested. You may want to see if there is a forum that involves using the hardware that you have, as there may be a group that has hacked it, and can provide assistance.

That is exactly that !

Could you give me indications on how to spoof the user-agent ?
Thanks for answering anyway !

It seems that th problem is 3CX using the Auth value in the "contact URI" / "SIP to adress" / "SIP from adress" user part of the SIP register packet instead of the phone number.
My SIP provider expects phone_number@SIP_registar but 3CX provides auth_id@SIP_registar

If i change the Authentication id with my phone number, I get a 401 error instead of 403, wich seems to be better, but then Im unable to authenticate as I cannot provide the correct auth userame

How can I use the correct sip id AND the correct auth id at the same time in 3CX ?

Thanks

Did your provider give you their requirements first?

Can you confirm that they allow you to register using a PBX?
