I see when setting up a SIP Trunk, I can direct calls to my Queue.
However, I can also do this as an Inbound Rule.
Which should I use?
Does it matter?

For Outbound Rules, I want to setup a few lines for outbound calls. I see "Configure up to 5 backup routes for outgoing calls.". Does this mean if one route is busy (User #1 has dialed out on it), then the next route is the one to use for User #2?

Thanks!

The path you set on the sip trunk page is for your defined main number and any DIDs you don’t have an inbound rule for.

Inbound rules you set where calls to a specific DID to go to.

Outbound rules just help the pbx know which trunk to use based on your criteria. We make fairly lax rules that send calls in the proper format the trunk wants. I.E. we just got an overlay area code recently and made a rule that looks for 7 digits, added 1 and the original area code then send over the trunk. Same for 10 and 11 digit codes.
