Hello, I have established a trunk against an Asterix pbx, the call is established well but I have problems with the identification, when I make a call to a trunk extension the caller number, in the from instead of my 3cx extension appearing, it only appears the number assigned in the trunk.I have tried the Outbound parameters options and I have tried all the "From: User Part" options but I can't get it to show my number.thank you.

Caller ID issues, like this, is probably one of the reasons that 3CX decided to stop officially supporting Bridge trunks, to a PBX, other than 3CX, a while back. Hopefully someone worked this out, and can offer a suggestion, but I would not hold my breath.

A search through the forum might also come up with some suggested tweaks.

Thank you for your response, I have searched the forum but I have not seen anything that is exactly what I am looking for, I clarify that I am not doing a Bridge, I am doing a Sip trunk based on IP registration against an Asterix PBX.

I take this opportunity to ask if there is any way to debug and see how I am building the call, so far I am doing it remotely from the other pbx, but I would like to be able to see directly how the call is built from 3cx, in the activity log I do not see the information complete

This is actually a bridge with a 3rd party.
You need to run captures and check which information you want to include and in which sip field.

What we want is to include the 3cx source extension in the From, now what is being sent is the trunk extension

I would like to know how to take screenshots with 3CX.

You check guideline here of how to run the captures.

Hello, I have made several captures and it generates quite a few logs, I filter in WireShark the IP of the phone I am testing with but I see many logs, I would like to know how to filter to see the parameters that I send in the callthank you

You will need to check what is in the Invite message and for that in the Wireshark you can use :
sip.CSeq.method=="INVITE"

It's great, thank you very much, what would be interesting as a suggestion is a realtime, to see at the moment, for now I'm going to see if I'm able to send the information as it should to the other pbx, thanks!

Perfect! Best of luck in resolving your issue

I have not been able to solve the problem, as I said before I am using a SIP trunk to connect with another PBX, in the Invite, in the FROM user part field: it should show my extension, and it is showing the trunk extension, I have changed all the outbound parameters options and it doesn't change, it's not if it's not possible or I have to do something different.

Known thing with unsupported bridges/trunks. We tried for years to get it to work with Grandstream UCMs and it never did.

Since you re not currently using a "Bridge trunk", have you considered setting one up in parallel, to try? They are designed to send the extension caller ID, but as I said, no longer supported to another type of PBX, and caller ID issues have been a common problem all along.

3CX used to have a page dedicated to setting one up, and to Asterisk specifically....

https://web.archive.org/web/20161213151353/http://www.3cx.com/docs/bridging-asterisk-pbx/

Again, keep in mind this is not supported and the guide was written for an older version of 3CX so some things may not be exactly the same.

https://web.archive.org/web/20161213151353/http://www.3cx.com/docs/bridging-asterisk-pbx/

@ToniGarcia Good to know that you found a solution.
Keep in mind though that the best option is to bridge 3CX PBX's.

I still don't have the solution, my intention is to make the connection with 3cx, I am waiting for the 3cx administrator to make the bridge

Let us know the outcome.

Hello, with the bridge I already show the extension at the other end, which does not take it to the FROM, but to the remote party id or something similar, but from the other end they will map it, thanks!
