Skype gateway produces just noise

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my 3CX system together with the Skype gateway.
Incoming calls from Skype get perfectly well forwarded to my landline, but as soon as I pick up all I can hear is an electrical loud noise. Voice doesn't get passed through in both ways.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong here?

Skype gateway DOES NOT "produces just noise", sorry.

Well, the sound coming out of the speaker I do experience as electrical noise.

sip:[email protected]:5060 -> xxxx refers to my login account at poivy.com.

I'm sorry but that link asks for, more or less, the information I've already put in my first post.
What I can do is to try to record the noise I'm hearing, to perhaps make it more clear.
Voip provider is poivy (one of those betamax things), gateway is the 3CX provided Skype gateway. I'm not using any SIP phones as I'm simply forwarding all incoming calls, to my landline. Note: incoming calls from through Eutelia (italian), Budgetphone (Dutch) and TPAD (UK?) works perfectly fine. It's only the Skype-part that's giving me troubles.

That's correct. And I've tried with and without a virtual audio driver, without any luck.

Somewhere here on the forum, on the Skype Gateway section, I warned about VM issue.
Briefly, when you move the mouse inside the VM desktop, you will easily observe that it moves much slower and "bumpy" than on the real, physical desktop.
This "bumpy" behavior happens also on the audio, on ports, on internet traffic, on processor, since all hardware resources are virtualised, "translated" by VM. If my machine has a 10 MB network card, by running 3VMs simultaneously on it doesn't mean I got a gain to 40MB, but to fit more than 4 times more traffic into the real available 10 MB, with coresponding trade-off.

I had a similar problem, as soon as a call went through all I got was a loud noise.

I later found the problem was that the audio driver on the server i was using did not appear to be installed correctly. I re-installed the driver and the skype gateway worked perfectly.
