I am hoping and praying that SMS/RCS for 3CX works like I think it will.... I am hoping that

What I really need is a unified app from which I can:

1) send and receive SMS from my phone like a normal cell provider would allow

2) send bulk SMS to clients for follow-ups/appointment reminders, but this needs to be done from a desktop app.

The catch is that I really need to be able to send these from the same DID....

Does anybody have a good solution that works like this? Or have the inside baseball as to whether or not 3CX SMS will support it?

1) What constitutes 'my phone'? Deskphone? Softphone app?
2) I can pretty much guarantee 3CX isn't going to do this, at least not on day one. This is something a marketing service/CRM would do, not a phone system. Perhaps much further down the line 3CX could handle such requests via CRM integration but there's a lot of moving pieces for this.

But yes, there are many providers that can do what you want today. Heymarket is one of them.

Sorry, I meant that I need SMS capabilities from my mobile phone (Android Smartphone, that is).

I also need a unified system, however, where others in the office can send and receive SMS.

I do a lot of communication with leads/clients via SMS, but it gets overwhelming trying to do it all myself. I need to allow others in the office to do follow-up on my behalf (using my DID).

So while 3CX may get to that point at someday it sounds like you need something integrated with your CRM. Most CRMs have something already (usually Twilio) but otherwise there's several standalone SMS platforms like HeyMarket.
