Hello,

We have a pool of Snom D785 connected to our 3CX V16.

We can set an extension status via a BLF and the short codes, but there is no visual indication of the extension status on the Snom.
Nor is there an indication of the status of a speed dial extension set as BLF.

  1. Is it possible to show the 3CX extension status on the Snom (with a light or somewhere on the UI) ?
  2. Is it possible that the BLF change color for speed dial extension based on their status ?

Regards
Olivier

Hi 3cx,

I have exactly the same problem with my D385. The LEDs can have three colours - red, orange, green - which would be perfect to indicate the presence of my extensions exactly like the soft phone. But if I setup a key as "Presence" in the phone UI, my subscription will be denied by 3cx with "SIP/2.0 489 Event Package Not Supported". With "BLF" or "Extension" there is no indication of the presence whatsoever. There is virtually no technical documentation on 3cx, so I could mimic the softphones calls to the PBX - which can clearly subscribe to the presence of the extensions. That is a real bummer, but seems to be the modern way of software. Let the users find out on their own and hopefully someone makes an unofficial wiki. I already suggested to our IT that we move away from 3cx, since this is not the only case of frustration with it. I really should not have to reverse engineer the soft phones calls to the PBX to achieve something so simple as a presence subscription on my phone...
