Our 3CX Professional installation updated to 16.0.6.641 a couple days ago. Our Snom D785 desk phones have all made the transition now, too. And it's horrible. The new 3CX background makes almsot all text on the display impossible to read. And, in our experience, any user changes to phone preferences like display colors that would clear this up will just be reset the next time the phone refreshes its provisioning.

Has anyone found a good long-term workaround for this? Is there some way to get 3CX provisioning data either not to overwrite user preferences on the phone, or to send out a different set of data that will cause the phone to be legible?

I have a D785 on my desk and it's readable. I even think the design with the 3CX logo is cleaner than a custom logo.

The old 3CX logo and settings were fine. But with the new logo and/or default settings pushed to the phone, almost all text including station name, caller ID name, menus, etc. are dark gray text over a dark blue background. Changing the text to white makes it tolerable, but that requires changing numerous settings (navigating the illegible menus along the way), only to find that a day or two later that they have been reset.

I found what appears to be the answer to this problem. The phone firmware had to be updated and then the phone had to be reprovisioned. Both of those steps were easy to do through the 3CX administrative interface. I think that the phones were on firmware that did not recognize all of the configuration settings that 3CX was pushing, such as themes.

Finally you like new design:p:D;)
