So, I don't know if anyone else has had the joy of trying to set up a Snom M700 and pair a Snom M65 handset with it. The 3CX how-to's are horrible, lead you into dead ends only to find out the solution (which isn't mentioned in their how-to) is far off in a distant world living in some SNOM wiki page....
After almost 5 hours, I managed to bring my Snom M700 up to date with the latest firmware ("Important note 3 at http://wiki.snom.com/Snom_M700/Firmware, a 3CX support tech told me to look at (which mysteriously isn't mentioned on their "upgrade firmware" page for the Snom M700) ---- so that when I do follow 3CX's how to (https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/snom-m300-m700-dect/) , at least the images match, so I can get *almost* through step one. Worse, they interchange the word "base" and "phone" so much I never know what they're talking about!
Then I get to the part that is supposed to show how to "register a Handset to a Snom M700 Base Station": https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/register-handset-snom-m700/
1.5 hours to set up entire phone system, upgrade firmware on yealink phones, configure extensions, ring groups, SIP trunks, Inbound/Outbound rules........ SIX HOURS TO [attempt to, still going....] GET A WIRELESS HANDSET TO WORK.

- Open the web interface of your snom M700 base station.
- Navigate to “Extensions”
- If this is the first handset you are registering, check the “Idx 1” tick box and click “Register Handset(s)”
