Hello,

I noticed in the article that for the SNOM PA1 according to KB https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/snom-pa1/ it states "V18 onwards: Will only be supported for Local LAN provisioning."
Most if not all of our clients are behind an SBC. Is there a recommended PA that will work going forward? Will the Fanvil PA2 work? This will only affect auto-provisioning so if manually provisioned it should technically work? Also, would the SNOM PA1's still be supported by 3cx going forward? Thanks for all your help.

Hi @OmarT

The Snom PA1 will only be supported for LAN from V18 and going forward because it does not support modern TLS ciphers, hence it is now impossible to provision it over STUN / SBC. This is currently a hardware limitation, probably because this is an older device released over a decade ago.

For new PA1 or freshly reset PA1 devices:
If you know how to download the provisioning file and get it on the device, you could potentially keep it running over SBC and it should generally continue to work fine, but if you have any issues with it then 3CX will not be able to provide you with any support in that scenario.

For existing already provisioned and working PA1 devices:
You can keep them as is for now since they already work, or if you choose to replace them, I think the Fanvil PA2 is probably the next option available that is currently fully supported.

Thanks John, very much appreciated.
