soap integration help

Hi,

I would like to make a CRM integration to look for contact information depending on caller ID. However I have no experience at all building integrations.

The CRM we use has only SOAP Api, I think I have the necesary data from crm editor, but is this possible to use SOAP and 3CX Template Generator ? All exemples use REST (3cx template wizard) or JSON (3cx template generator exemple). I cant find simples exemples of how to do it. If its possible, can someone give me a template exemple he made ? (without privacy infos ofc).

Well, I think it might be possible, however the CRM engine is not designed to work with SOAP web services. So if you find a roadblock on the way, you will not be able to go further... But you can try...

A SOAP web service is basically an HTTP request where the data sent and received is XML, and you don't use the different HTTP methods (GET, POST, DELETE, etc.) to explain what you want to do... The information is inside the XML that you will send...

So, you can configure the Request element as a normal GET, set the data to send as XML, and process the XML response.

There are no samples because all the templates we have created are REST and JSON based. But XML is also supported, so you might be able to make it work...
