Is there a way to disable the ringing setting on the softphone, as the user's deskphone is next to the computer. I only have two choices, the speakers, or the headset. I have to leave the speakers on in order to hear youTube videos/ etc. Pointing there makes the ringing way too loud. Windows 10 Pro. Registry hack maybe? Or potentially setting up a virtual sound card (with no output), and pointing the ringing there? See https://e2esoft-vsc.software.informer.com/

Replace "C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\Sounds\ringtone.wav" with a blank sound file

Hi gigaboy,

If the client is logged in it must ring necessarily. You can send the tone to the headset (since they hear the deskphone and will pick up there or will answer and then put the headset in their ear).

Maybe you can just put the volume down in windows ?

Great Idea!

Client doesn't want it to ring in their ear, as desktop phone rings right next to the computer. They wear the headset throughout the day.

I've tried every possible combination of volume adjustment without success. I have installed a desktop sound adjustment app (Ear Trumpet) which still did not solve the problem, but at least made it a lot easier to access the sound settings.

But if you just mute "3CX Client" in the volume tab, so user hears nothing but still have a notification

There's not an option to do that. Here's why, the new monitor installed has a built in speaker, and audio is ported through HDMI.

So, 3CX needs to add a selection in the dropdown for the audio settings ringing for "Mute"
