SOLVED: v20 (20.0.1.731): Receptionist can't change status of users in the same department

Hi all

I'm facing an issue with the roles in 3cx. Based on https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/access-roles/ a user with "Reception" role should be able to set status and reminders on other users. But fact, it is not working in our customers deployment. I have tested with customers extension and with a newly created test extension. Both have the same problem.



On the screenshots I'm logged in with extension 14 with receptionist rights in department "DEFAULT" and trying to set the status of extension 13 with user rights in the same department. If i use roles like "Department Administrator" or "Manager" it will work like a charm, but this roles have to much rights for our purposes.

Is this a bug in the version 20.0.1.731 or am i missing something?

No, this is expected. You need to use manager or administrator to do this.

Oh, sorry. No its correct. Are they in the same department? For me its working as a receptionist.

Yeah sure. As i stated in the original post they all are in the department "DEFAULT" and i'm trying to change a user with "User" role.
If it works for you, can you please have a quick look at the version you are using?

Maybe they changed something, i am on Version 20.0 Update 2 (Build 708 Beta)

Ok, i updated to 20.0.2.688 and it works without any issues. So the problem is indeed resulting of an bug in version 20.0.1.731.
