Hello,

We have a number of customers and users complaining about the lack of a transfer noise on completion of an attended transfer.

Call comes in from customer to reception. Reception do an attended transfer and call the internal user, they say X person is on the phone do they want to take the call etc. then on transferring the call the user does not know when the call actually lands with them. There is an awkward moment whey the save to hopefully say hello, are you there! With the old system you would hear the physical sound of the receptionist crunching their phone down then the line going clear indicating you were now connected to your caller. Now they use the 3cx apps to transfer calls its silent so leaves this awkward situation!

How do we request this as a feature within the system?! Or is there a way of turning something on already that will solve this problem?

I can find at least 3 other requests for this same feature and thousands of people must struggle with this every day!

Here are the other posts I found on this same issue:

Thanks in advance for any replies!

The last link you posted is the "Feature Request" (Idea) for this.
With only 9 upvotes (on a request 5 years old) 3CX management likely doesn't see much demand for it. So my recommendation is to have everyone who wants it upvote it so 3CX sees it's in demand.

Thanks for the reply. Its this issue that can be up rated by hitting the +1 button at the top:

I hadn't spotted that you could do that! Hopefully some more people with the ability to login and click the button will follow my lead and do it! Who monitors these and what sort of number does it need to get to in order to be considered for development?

Thanks.

Yes, you are correct on the link (middle, not last)
3CX has stated they monitor that forum and it's what drives forward new features. I don't know they need any specific number of +1's - it's been shared that it's more like 3CX grabs the top 10 most popular requests and works on those. But of course I can't speak for 3CX, just what I've seen and read on these forums.

I upvoted it as well.
Although you can of course visually see on the display of your phone or in the 3CX App when the call has been transferred to you.
I'm not even sure 3CX can even create this feature if they wanted to, I think it has to happen of the phone itself. But that's just my feeling, no scientific basis for it :)

Thanks for this, we've started to tell users that they can see in the app. The most difficult one is when the user is using the app on their smartphone. Because they have their phone to their ear they have to quickly move the phone away from their ear to check, it just makes the situation worse!

We're trying to train reception to have a standard hand over protocol, e.g. they will say "Transferring the call now." only saying this when they are ready to hit the the transfer button right after "now".

Thanks for up voting. :):)
