Hello. I have a SPA3102 and have set it up as per guide. The ports 5060 and 50061 are configured correctly and are showing as registered on the ATA and showing green indicator on the 3CX portal. I set up 2 separate devices on the 3CX SIP Trunk (one for PSTN port and a second for the Line 1 port). I am not sure if this is correct.
I can dial out on the 3102 PSTN line and when I receive PSTN calls they are forwarded to the 3CX system, and ring my iPhone.
How can I get the calls to ring my house phone also (Line 1 on the 3102)?
But, when I try to dial an outbound international number which is routed via the SIP line, it does not work. My iPhone rings instead with a call from 3CX.
What have I done wrong?
Should I have set up the 3CX SIP as only one device? How would I list both ports in that event?
Should there be an extension or phone added to 3CX for the SPA3102 device ?
Thank you in advance for any advice. I sense that Im nearly there....maybe Im wrong!!

So the FXO (trunk) part is working well...that is usually the big hurdle. Is the FXS (phone) being used as a 3CX extension (calls go to 3CX, then back to the 3102), or, are you trying to get it to dial directly out on the FXO, bypassing 3CX altogether? From what I gather, you will need to work on the internal , 3102 dialplan to direct call to 3CX, or the PSTN line. Let me know if this is the case.

Thank you.
I would like the FXS to be a 3CX extension for incoming calls. Also, ideally, I would like the FXS to route some outbound calls thru the PSTN and some outbound calls via Voip.ms which I have paired with my 3CX plan. I am not sure if this is possible.

You will need to modify the Phone dialplan in the 3102.

Specifically, for any digit pattern you want to go directly out on the FXO port, you'd nee to put gw0, at the end of a specific pattern, anything without will go to the VoIP line the FXS is registered to (3CX). You may have to be more specific as to which digits you want to route to 3CXas well so there is no conflict. You can, if you wish, have all calls route to 3CX, then sort things out using the 3CX outbound rules. Advantageous if you also had a VoIP trunk connected to 3CX. This might still require some changes to the internal 3102 dialplan.

Thank you Leejor.
My dial plan is fairly specific and has worked Ok with the 3102 routing some calls via PSTN and some via Voip.ms. I have tried using the same dial plan, but with the 3CX server address (which is registered with the 3102). The outbound calls don't seem to work though.
Do i need to create an extension on 3CX for the 3102?

I had assumed, from the initial post, that the phone (FXS) was already registered to 3CX. Is that not the case?

It is registered as a Trunk, but do i need to create an extension ?

Yes....one would be registered as an extension, the FXS (PHONE), and one as a trunk FXO (LINE). The extension is not necessary if you want all outgoing calls, made on that set to go to the PSTN line and the phone does not need to interact with 3CX.

This is from the old SPA-3000 manual (also applies to the 3102) and shows the relationships.

Thank you.
My dial plan is something like this...and works well as I say.
(*xx<:@gw0>|#xx<:@gw0>|999<:@gw0>|18xx.<:@gw0>|08[2-9]xxxxxxx|00xx.|0818xx.<:@gw0>|15xx.!|118xx!|[23456789]xxxxxx<:@gw0>|021xxxxxxx<:@gw0>|022xxxxx<:@gw0>|023xxxxxxx<:@gw0>)

Can you tell me how to setup the extension and refer it to the FXS? I would like calls to be selectively sent to PSTN or 3CX as per dial plan.

Create an extension in 3CX, the use the settings to populate the ATA portion of the 3102 as you would with any Linksys ATA. There are many posts regarding this on he forum. There seems to be some unnecessary duplication in your dialplan. When I have some time, in the next few hours, I will post one that I use.
Get the extension registered for the time being. If you have issues, then post the Tabs of the line and PSTN ,showing your current settings.

It wasn't buried as deep as I thought it was.

So this is the dialplan I use on a 3102 I take to Hawaii (when we were still travelling), where there is a local PSTN line. Anything followed by S0 (S zero) goes immediately to 3CX, no timeout awaiting more digits.

The others, toll free (some new ones still to add), 911, and numbers starting with 9808 go out on the PSTN line. The 9808 is removed as local calls can be dialled with, but do not require, the area code. The 9 is also removed from the toll free numbers. The 9011xx. is for unknown length international numbers.

I find that using a 9 prefix make call routing (plans) much simpler, and I have been used to dialling that for many, many, many years anyway.. You can do it without, but much more risk of number conflicts so you have to be much more careful.

1xxS0|2xxS0|41xS0|81xxxxxxxxxxS0|9011xx.|911<:mad:gw0>|<9911:911><:mad:gw0>|<9:>1800xxxxxxx<:mad:gw0>|<9:>1888xxxxxxx<:mad:gw0>|<9:>1877xxxxxxx<:mad:gw0>|<9:>1866xxxxxxx<:mad:gw0>|91xxxxxxxxxxS0|9310xxxxS0|9[267]xxxxxxxxxS0|<9808:>xxxxxxx<:mad:gw0>|999S0|)

The : @, when there is no space, keeps getting replaced with a face....annoying.

Thanks again for the dial plan. Ive been trying to set up an extension registered to the ATA, but can't get it to register. In 3CX...I've set up an extension (99) and filled in the name/email/mobile number and caller ID. I've put a password at the bottom.
On the Cisco, Ive gone to the Line 1 subscriber info.
I've used the extension (99) for User ID and Auth ID, and used the password from the 3CX extension 99 page, but it will not register.
The PSTN section is registered as Main Trunk NO. 10000 without any problem.
I am clearly doing something silly !!

Does the 3CX Activity Log show the registration attempt, and a clue as to why it is failing? Auth ID should not be the extension number, normally.

If you're still stumped, post the Line tab.

Thanks again.
So I can register my ATA as 2 gateways for 3CX using different ports and I can get them to register perfectly. Using this system, inbound PSTN calls will route outbound to 3CX.
However, I would like inbound calls to ring on the FXS phone also (Line 1). I would like to use my FXS to dial out via 3CX to use voip.ms for some numbers.
I have tried to set up an extension to do this. What should I use for the Auth ID for the 3102 subscriber info? I can't seem to get an extension to register with the ATA line 1.
There is no info in the 3CX Event Log. Where should I look for 3CX Activity Log?
I'm confused about how exactly to use/share 3102 credentials in order to set up the 3CX extension.
I will attach some screenshots.

For security reasons you need to remove the first post, showing the QR code. The second post still shows the Line 1 as a gateway in 3CX. This also need to be taken out of the PBX. The ATA part is not a gateway and should not be registered as a SIP trunk in 3CX. The 3102 is two devices in one, with the ability to "cross over" for certain functions.

This deals with an SPA112, but the important parts of the menu are pretty much the same. Just use the extension settings (User ID, Auth ID and password) from 3CX.

Don't worry, for the moment, about the PSTN part. Get the ATA (Line) part to register so you can call another extension and they can ring you.

Thanks a million...QR deleted
working on the SIP now

Thank you sooo much.
The devil is in the detail.
I just realised that the Auth ID and password are the ones listed in the 'Phone Provisioning' section of the extension.
Line 1 working well now.
If I make a 'Ring Group' and add the extension...will that finish my plan so that FXS phone rings with any inbound calls?

Yes, just be sure that you do not have the 3102 option to also ring the Line directly, when there is an incoming call on the PSTN. You probably want all calls to route to 3CX. You may also want to "adjust" the time (from the default setting) that the 3102 waits before sending the call to 3CX, if you have not already done so. As I recall the default is about 15/16 seconds of ringing time. 3 seconds is enough for caller ID, if using Bellcore type, less if other types..

If you have any other issues, post the PSTN tab, and I'll look over your settings.

Super. It seems that I’m nearly there!
is it possible to dial other extensions (such as IPhone with 3CX) directly from the 3102 FXS?

It depends on what you mean. Yes, (3102 dialplan allowing), you can dial any extension on 3CX.
