Special Keys on keypad * and #

Good day,

I have a need for the use of hash and star...

When people leave a voice mail, I want to tell them that when done press #(hash) or * (star) i dont see these options i can only see numbers 0-9
how then do i direct a call to start recording when a caller presses those special Keys...

The voicemail IVR system has predefined keys. The command keys are reserved.

hmmmm so i have an after hours message that says we are closed leave a message after the tone when done recording press # ( hash).....

You mean i can never use this option in 3CX?

even if you do nothing and just hang up , messages are recorded since they are up to minimum time limit generally 2 seconds.
