split dns on premise with auto failover to other ip 3cx server

I am using a 2nd server as a failover server. This server of course has a different ip than the primary server. In a failover situation, the failover switches to active and also takes over the fqdn name. However, I wonder if I set up a windows server as a splt dns server with the fqdn name and the ip address of the primary server. What happens in a failover situation dns server with the FullQualifiedDomainName pointing to the ip of the primary 3cx server what is not the ip of the failover server

Custom Failover Usage​

For Failover use with custom FQDN and LAN-to-LAN or LAN-to-Cloud scenarios, to update your DNS and FQDNs when failover occurs, you need to use advanced scripting and services like Active Directory to run shell scripts with administrative privileges.
