SSL Certificate - Android App QR - Windows 3CX

I have followed the threads here but still need some help.

From this thread i establish i need an SSL cert likely

Our 3cx is running on windows on the things i dont know are

(1) what is the domain i need to buy the ssl for im assuming it is the FQDN companyname.3cx.co.uk ?

Im confused why this is not made easy in the app itself ?

Ps im on V18 update 9 im assuming this will fix users setting up on their mobiles

You dont need to buy any certificate. If you use an 3cx fqdn the certificate is maintained by your 3cx. Which version your running, firewall check ok? Which version from android your using?

Ohh interesting thanks attached is what happens when i try and access the 3cx URL which is what made me think it was the SSL cert that was the issue.

Server: 18.0 (Build 31) - Pro Licence
3CX android app version: 20.1.0

The android app says you must scan the QR code from an HTTPS url our admin cant be accessed via an https url either.

Sorry missed the point about firewall

Our cones are broken on the firewall test and have always been. However this doesnt seem to effect anything else we can make and recive calls fine on devices on the local network.

Hello

Firstly, you need to connect to the correct URL of the PBX which is https://xxx.3cx.co.uk:5001

your web server is listening on port 5001 and this is why you're getting a certificate error.

Secondly, you should look to fix the firewall so it passes and youre up to date with updates.
