There are multiple topics about this over the past 6 years (or more) and nothing has been done.
Frankly this is unacceptable. Every single program that autostarts has the option to autostart minimized. Even spotify, the bane of all UX.
It really is time to add this. Any developer can add this feature in ~30 minutes. If you like, I can do it for you. Seriously. Or I can pay the developer for the 30 minutes that this takes. Just add it already.
