StartUP free can't use generic trunks like SPA3000/3102

Hi,

If u're like me using a RaspberryPI and for trunks, am using Cisco/Linksys SPA3000/3102 as well as Freeshell's SIP account, look somewhere else!

I'm not able to use the StartUp Free version as it doesn't have the option to allow me to enter SIP server, port, username and password.

Is it possible to pls add this feature in a future release? It'll also allow us to use any SIP trunk provider without waiting for the provider to be added into the drop down list.

Am waiting for my mini desktop to arrive to try the self-managed Debian 3CX free version. Keeping fingers crossed that it allows one to enter trunk's SIP server, port, username and password.

Please note that using any generic unsupported trunks with the 3cx start-up is not possible. Even with your own dedicated installations support and advice can only be provided when using supported preferred VoIP providers.

Yes, I understand the rationale for restricting support to only preferred VoIP providers to make the system easy to use and support. It is quite difficult to balance spending staff resources on actual paying customers and future customers/support staff.

This free platform is an excellent inexpensive platform to introduce hobbyist to world of VoIP PBX. All the established VoIP providers all sell their trunks with a minimum of 3-5 channels. The monthly costs quickly adds up for a hobbyist.

With a SPA3000, one can convert the existing home line to a trunk inexpensively. Freeshell's SIP account even though is not a trunk can be made to behave like a trunk and with a fixed subscription, can call any where in the world without any further charges. It's not business quality but good enough for the occasional use.

Use a provider like VoIP.ms or Telnyx or many others who offer by-the-minute plans.

I didn't see Telnyx in the drop down list for Singapore sip trunk providers.
