Hi,

We are using VoIP.ms as our SIP trunk. Are there any plans on adding it to the approved provider list for StartUP? StartUP would be fantastic for us versus a hosted or self-managed instance.

I know adding handsets is coming in August/September -- all we need is VoIP.ms!

Thanks.

As a preferred provider, probably not. But as you noted, when handsets can be connected (Startup Pro) then so can VoIP.ms

Much appreciated. I was under the assumption that's how it'd work, but 3CX chat support was telling me that it was still only the ones on their existing list but more providers would be added down the line.

@Nick Galea On the 3CX Supported SIP Trunk page, it shows 'Supported Providers are tested against 3CX Hosted and on-premise installations. Not compatible with 3CX Startup. Configuration may require a few extra steps." -- VoIP.ms is currently a supported provider, but not preferred. Once Startup Pro rolls out in September 2022, the options will be open to use my own trunk then (namely VoIP.ms)?

Sorry for the questions -- we're debating whether to hold off another two months until Startup Pro official rolls out and we can use VoIP.ms versus spinning up a dedicated instance right now. I'd really like to avoid managing an instance if possible.

Thanks.

Hi, no problem at all. On StartUP there will be no option to use a generic trunk, you can only choose from preferred and supported..... Voip.ms is not supported at the moment...

@Nick Galea Thanks for the quick response! On the SIP Trunk list for Canada, VoIP.ms is listed under the "Supported Provider" list. To clarify, is there another list of Supported providers that I must've missed? Thanks!

I have a small 10 user client that is looking to change VoIP providers and i am looking at StartUp with VoIP.MS as the SIP providor, i too noticed it says supported on the website.... is that for other services and not StartUP or does it now include StartUP??

The list of supported providers on StartUP is simple: use the Trunk page in the Office Settings. The list is there when you chose your country.

We are updating the web pages. Currently we don't recommend VoIP.ms for startup but we how in future it will be possible. In the meantime you have to chat from the available options
