Still Using Server 2008 r2 ?

I have a client with Dell R410, T310 and R710 servers available for use as the 3CX server but they all have Server 2008 r2. They prefer not to buy additional OS license and I see it's not "Officially" supported any longer.
Any body still using it with current 3CX release? Any issues?
Any thoughts on potential issues, now or near future?

One thing I noticed today is that you can't install .Net 4.7.2 on Windows Server 2008 R2. While 3CX is currently on 4.6.1, I wouldn't be surprised if V16 (when released later this year) requires 4.7.2. I think you better plan on upgrading your Windows versions.

The more I think about it, they may be better off (cost wise) buying a PC with WIndows 10 Pro. There is no driver support for that generation Dell server for Windows 10 or Server 2016/2019. The new computer will be less expensive than a server OS license and it's a smaller deployment (20 extensions).

Hard to argue with your logic. My only suggestion is if you buy an entry-level PC for this, be sure to uninstall all the bloatware that typically comes on a new PC BEFORE you install 3CX. And I would install .Net Framework 4.7.2 now to hopefully avoid the need in the near future after the system is production Rumer is V16 is not that far away.

No doubt on the new pc. I typically do fresh install of the OS just to be sure. I do appreciate the insight regarding .NET.

Or get an Intel MiniPC and install Debian - this would be my recommendation.
