can we setup 1 storage bucket for all of our client systems to back up to? or does each system need one?
Technically you can, yes, backups from multiple systems can be written into the same bucket (make sure you split into folders so one system does not overwrite backups of the other...) at the same time.

The only "logical" problem you may run into is that if the customers have access to the MC, the could browse through the other folders seeing backups of systems other than their own.
I have not yet found a way to allocate rights on specific folders within the same bucket to different service accounts.

Is SMS support included in Update 5 as originally planned in the roadmap?

...or, allow us to change the scheduled backups pattern like they can be in the one-off backup dialogue...

CUSTOMERNAMEScheduledBackupX.zip

Doesn't feel like it should be a stretch...

Thanks
Paul

...or that, but for the time being as this is not possible, folders is the way to go, it doesn't cost anything extra by the time you have the bucket... :)

It costs a bit more in time, and security if we have to give rights to the bucket to someone simply to create a new folder for each new customer. As with most things if there's an easy way and a harder way, I'd prefer the easier, but we work with the tools we've got.

On the subject of "911 Emergency Response Unit",

I am interested in knowing how the system finds the call.

In my case I had created a DIALER that monitored my PBX every 15 seconds, determining if an "ExternalParty" was called.

My processor was slightly penalized for that configuration.

Is that logic maintained in development?

Thank you for your guidance.

Not exactly, in V16 Update 5, the Emergency Rules are like specialized Outbound Rules. Once one of the Emergency Rules is used by a user of the system, certain actions are triggered. These actions are the options you have, chat notifications, emails, play announcement, etc.

we do this in the system parameters, search for backup_filename and you can rename it.

thanks nick! seems like individual is the best way currently.

Has anyone noticed any major bugs in this alpha yet?
