Hi, I have some strange behaviour happening with the Admin panel.

When I try to edit (clicking the ellipses) a SIP Trunk under http://xxx.3cx.xx:5000/#/office/voice-and-chat it will not get me to the edit page, instead it throws me to the user page (http://xxx.3cx.xx:5000/#/people) instead.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the message I have in the top saying:

3CX Version 20 requires a secure connection to use the Web Client. You are not using an FQDN or HTTPS to connect to 3CX.

I am accessing the admin panel through the FQDN (http://xxx.3cx.xx/) and the firewall test shows that all is ok. I can access the full admin pages it seems to me. I also checked if this behaviour was the same on a different browser, but both Brave and Edge on a MAC give the same behaviour. Its a local installation.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue so that I can get to the SIP Trunk edit page?

And how do I get rid of the header message?

Thanks so much for your assistants.

Hi,

Is this a bug? I am not able to change the trunk and get calls in and out unfortunately.

@OlegR_3CX do you have any idea? I see you have handled similar question in the recent past. :)

Thanks again.

Hi, thanks for your quick response. You mean using https:// ? Normally it would get directed to it automatically, but I see that I now get this message when going there directly:

This site can’t provide a secure connection

xxxxx.3cx.xx sent an invalid response.

ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

Any idea how to resolve this?

And how does this effect the http://xxx.3cx.xx:5000/#/office/voice-and-chat Trunk edit page not loading? Any ideas?

are you using https://fqdn without the port 5000?
I have to add the port number, without it, it will give a no response page back.

FYI, I also did all these checks asked for in:

with the same results. as I described above.

Something strange just happend. I suddenly was pushed out of the admin page and was not able to access it either anymore using http://. After about 30 seconds, I noticed that I was logging in to https:// and now the "3CX Version 20 requires a secure connection to use the Web Client. You are not using an FQDN or HTTPS to connect to 3CX." message is also gone.

Any idea what happend? :)

However the edit trunk page still wont load. Bug?

When using HTTPS you should not see the warning about using HTTPS.

Is this really an SMB account? Or Pro/Ent?

There have been other posts about redirecting out of the trunk page, for instance:

Thanks! I will try these suggested work arounds. I will get back to you.

I believe its a standard annual license. Still very strange that the https issue suddenly disappeared as if someone at 3CX did something. :) Thanks anyway!
