Hello, I'm trying to find information on what exactly happens when we pass our subscription expiry date. Is there a grace period before services are disconnected? Are there monthly options available as opposed to yearly? Thank you for your help.

When the subscription expires, it will revert back to Standard 4SC, from which you can upgrade again.

And no currently there's no monthly options other than going through a partner who sells it that way.

Interesting. So to clarify, we won't lose our numbers or service, only our ability to have 8 simultaneous calls will be reduced to 4? I'm learning as I go on this 3CX system, so apologies if that is entirely off-base.

No worries! But yes, your trunks and all will keep working, but with a 4SC limit.

However, if you use Pro features like call recording, call queues or CRM integration, those will stop working as the license reverts to Standard.

Hi @BrownsonBros

I would like to clarify what ConceptsWeb has said to prevent any future issues for you and your system.

I noticed that you are posting in the 3CX Hosted forum section - please be advised that when 3CX hosting expires the system will stop functioning, and you will not be able to make calls or use the system until you renew/upgrade the system accordingly and restore the hosting.

Therefore with that being said, I would highly suggest preventing allowing the system to go past its renewal/expiration day to ensure your services are not interrupted.

Kind Regards,
Monika

Thank you Monica — is there anything we can do to push our expiration date a month or two, besides renewing for a full year?

There is no way currently other than renewing.

Why do you need only 1-2 months?

We are looking to migrate to a new VOIP provider, but are concerned that services will expire before the port-out process completes.

You're moving PBX or provider only?

Or both?

Porting usually isn't too long if the carriers are not complete horsesh**.

I suppose both — to an entirely different platform. 2 weeks is pretty standard for not-cellular port outs in my experience, and we want to make sure we have more than that amount of time before beginning. To your knowledge is there any way to extend a subscription by less than a full year?

Not at all, specially if you use hosted.

You can always move the VM to DigitalOcean using a backup, so that at least, the instance keeps running after the expiry of the hosting.

It will revert to standard but will still take/place calls just fine.

If you use a IP-based provider, make sure to update the IP if you move the VM.

Hrmm. Is it possible to renew just the hosting and drop down to 4SC?

That's a bit more complex so you'll have to contact your account manager or the customer service.

Hello :)

4SC Standard is no longer the option we offer, therefore even if the key is downgraded to 4SC you would still be required to renew at least 4SC PRO + 3CX Hosting. You won't be able to just renew the hosting on its own.

Monika

Hello, juuuust for curiosity' sake, since there is no free self-hosted version anymore, what would happen to an expired self-hosted v20 PRO?
