Support for Polycom 550 SIP Removed

I have multiple customers still using a mix of older Polycom phones, and just had to make a change to the system and realized that v18 they removed the phones from the list.

Does anyone have a workaround for this? My customers are not going to completely replace the phones in the system that's working.

Hi Steve,

If I'm not mistaken, this hardware is from two decades ago. They finally reached end of sales status in 2016, and end of support in 2019 from Polycom. They sure had a good run, but eventually we also had to retire them once the manufacturer support ended.

Since they are no longer maintained we pulled the ability to provision new ones, without stopping existing provisioned units from working for as long as they can still work. But at some point it would be a good idea to look at replacing them with something newer.

They can still of course be used if you want to provision them manually, but we can't guarantee they will continue to work forever as our software platform evolves but the firmware no longer evolves to keep up with future standards.

Not really the answer I was hoping for honestly, guess I need to turn off auto update for future builds.
