Swap to a 3cx Security Certificate?

Good morning,

I have on premises debian systems running V16 and get my Security certificates from godaddy. Can I move to the 3cx certificates for my FQDN? It seems like this is what 3cx wants, but I cannot find documentation on how to move.

You would need to also swap the FQDN for a 3CX one. You cannot use your own FQDN with the automatic SSL, which is Let's Encrypt.

This means: backup without FQDN, uninstall, reinstall, restore backup during setup and choose a new 3CX FQDN from there and the SSL will generate itself.

This also means you would need to reprovision phones, SBCs and apps for the new URL.

Note that since there is an FQDN already bound to your key, you will have to login to the 3CX customer portal, click on the key number, and release it

Ports forwards remain exactly the same if you don't change them during the re-installation, so no worries on that end.

Just make sure the machine has the same IP. If it was manually set to static, you'll need to set it back. If it was a DHCP reservation, you'll be fine.
