Switch from Internal IP to Internal FQDN

Is it possible to switch from internal IP to internal FQDN without reinstalling 3CX?

Hi Frank86,

You can now change private IP's without having to re-install, but I have seen nothing to support that you can change from private IP to FQDN without a re-install, so I think you still need to do this.

Also you must ensure that you have a manageable DNS server on your local LAN subnet to support the domain name to private IP either Windows DNS or Firewall/Router.

Yes, you can if you installed the software using an internal DNS

Make sure your internal fqdn resolves to your 3cx server
Edit each phone, under 'Phone provisioning' change 'Select interface' to your fqdn

If you selected internal IP address, when installing then it will require a reinstall
