What is the proper procedure for changing the IP address of a 3cx self-hosted instance?
Tried just changing it through the OS and the entire system puked, had to restore from backup - suspecting I missed something
DNS servers were an easy change in the Interfaces file, but it didn't like the IP being changed

I’d expect it to work but if you’re using a 3CX FQDN note the TTL is 6h for Pro, 5m for Enterprise.

I completely forgot about the FQDN TTL - that is likely what was causing it to appear to puke
To clarify though - it is as simple as changing the interfaces file to reflect the new IP, reboot - and in this case, wait 6 hours

If 3CX is set to a static IP in its network settings you may need to change that to a dynamic IP temporarily so it will update the FQDN. This thread has more info.
