System Upgrade

Ok i have a customer who bought a Perpetual License for 32 Sim. 3 Years ago. The Maintenance has expired and i want to get them to the new version. They are currently on version 15.0.62925.5
The system is running on an Intel Nuc and Not using a FQDN. I bought another NUC thinking i could restore using a backup without the License info but that didn't work due to it not being 15.5.
After monitoring there calls over the past 3 years they only need a 16 Sim license. What is the best way to upgrade them to a new annual License without having to manually adding all the Extensions and Sip Trunks and Templates etc...

You should be able to...

1. Trade in the perpetual license for an annual license (free for first year, 32sc)
2. Next year purchase a annual license for 16 sc
3. every year thereafter renew.

Technically you could skip to step 2, but you have the ability to get an extra year at no cost.

Then, during install of PBX, choose the backup to restore and enter the new key.

Ok so if i trade it in, will there be any service affecting or will the 3cx server know that i just traded it in and the License key stays the same? I can then upgrade the old Version 15.0 to 15.5 to 16? I just dont want to trade it in and all of the sudden it goes to a standard 8SC.

Problem is your current install is too old and won't talk to the license server.

So you will need to follow the steps of:

1. Backup without license key
2. Install 15.5sp6 and restore backup during install
3. then you can upgrade as needed.

It will be service affecting. It shouldn't be more then 15 minutes done correctly.

Does anyone know where to get a Debian Iso for Version 15.5 sp6. I cant find them anywhere

That's real, have done this several times pbx install don't take more than 15 minutes if your backup is done and you have previously DL new exe to install
