Basically it seems when the person calls 710 for Multicast Page - the call is put on a Shared Park and music is played over the Multicast Channel. (710 is a Ring Group setup for Multicast Paging)

Please do not give me the usual answer "load v16". If anyone is on v16 with a T46G, can you tell me the current firmware it is using?

The 3CX template in v15.5 and v16 enables paging barge which is what you are seeing (the page barges in and puts any current calls on hold). Some customers love the page barge feature and others hate it.

You can see this setting on the yealink phone gui under "directory" / "multicast ip".

You can disable this by setting "paging barge" to "disabled" but the 3CX stock template will probably over-ride it within 24 hours.

If you want multicast paging to not barge you may have to go with a custom template for the phones with a setting of "multicast.receive_priority.priority = 0". Custom templates are not recommended or supported by 3CX but needed if the customer wants a feature on the phones and 3CX's templates don't support it.

This isn't a barge -
A barge would be if the person was on a call, and suddenly their call was put on hold and they could hear the page being made.

This is the person picks up the call to page thru the system and the paging system is now playing music.

Ok - well funnily enough that fixed the issue. And when asked, the person said their calls were getting interrupted by pages as well. This is silly to have to do a custom template for... the owner was not happy about it.
Is this the setting? This says 0 to 10 in my template - but the phone shows 0 to 31.
Why would 3cx leave this blank?

#Configure the priority of multicast paging calls. It ranges from 0 to 10.
multicast.receive_priority.priority =

So what happened was that the phone making the page was the one being barged in on because it's also part of the multicast group. As such it was even worse since it put the page onto hold music.

The numbers relate to which multicast page groups and below are allowed to barge. Setting to 0 means none. Since you only likely have one multicast page group and don't want barge 0 is the correct setting.

However if you want to have multiple page groups and allow the first group for emergencies to barge and the others (group 2 and higher) that are lower priorities to not barge that's where the numbers fit in. In that case you set the paging barge to 1.

From what I have seen with 3CX's approach to their Yealink template and their provisionable options, they take the road of the Yealink defaults are their defaults as much as possible and the provisionable options that 3CX gives you allow you to change away from the default. As such since Yealink's default for paging barge is not 0 and 3CX doesn't allow this to be adjusted through the management console this is what you are left with without resorting to custom templates. Thankfully the more stupid Yealink defaults are adjustable through 3CX such as the option to blink the message waiting light on a missed call. Although as you can see even for that option, 3CX leaves it as Yealink's default but allows you to move to a proper setting of Voicemail only through the management console without resorting to custom templates.

3CX's approach to sticking with Yealink's default options make sense. They could set different defaults but that would cause people on the other side of the fence to complain. In this case people who want paging barge would be upset if the option were to be changed.

I can see both sides - just don't agree with a default setting like that which makes some things quite unusable... like MCast Paging. Atleast put it into the Extension settings where we can modify it.
I do not use 3cx support - so making my own template isn't a big deal - but I only have 1 of these phones. I just need to sell it - or remember when I upgrade to v16 why I had this custom template.
