Solved T46U + EXP43 Stuck on Welcome Screen

I am also experiencing the same issue with a T46U and EXP43 after upgrading from 108.86.0.72 to 108.86.0.76.

I tried downgrading the phone, with no luck.
I also removed it from 3CX, factory reset the phone, and downgraded it to 108.86.0.70 and the EXP43 is still stuck.

Just submitted a ticket to Yealink with my logs

Yealink provided a new firmware version to update it to.
108.86.0.77

After updating the phone and replugging the sidecar, it is working now.

Not sure when the update will become officially available, but for anyone experiencing the issue, I would recommend reaching out to Yealink for the firmware update

as @JohnS_3CX mentioned previously the issue has been identified. Most probably there will be a new firmware to fix this issue.
Has there been any progress in releasing the new firmware yet? I can see someone else had firmware version 108.86.0.77 supplied by Yealink to resolve the issue but still only 108.86.0.76 available on 3CX. I am holding off upgrading our phones until this is released as we do use EXP43 expansion module.

By the way we've found that with the T43U it works even on .76 when you switch the connection to the other USB port.

I have a T48U with one panel, and the same problem. I did what everyone suggested but no luck. After upgrading to 108.86.0.77 it worked during startup of the phone, but once the phone provisioned it went back to the Welcome screen.

This is now 8 months from the orignal post. I am running into this issue and have tried what was suggested but, its still occurring. Sometimes moving the USB works until it doesn't. Do we have a resolution for this or what?

According to the manufacturer, they fixed this issue on v108.86.0.77, which was also released to 3CX directly from Yealink.

If you are still having issues after upgrading to this version, we would recommend to open a ticket with Yealink directly so they can investigate the issue.

Phones are upgraded It didn't resolve the issue until I physically unplugged and re-connected the extensions but, that was a temp resolution prior to this. I will bring up further issues with Yealink.

@Wilbo
Let us know how it goes and if you will receive any feedback from the Yealink team.

We've had this exact issue on T46U and EXT43. The expansion modules stoped working all on their own (maybe the users rebooted or something or there was a power outage - don't know) on two phones simultaneously. Upgrading to .77 resolved the issue.

@matjaz Glad to know this is resolved ;)

@Wilbo let us know if it's working for you now too or if you had any feedback from the Yealink, so we could perhaps close this thread.

@OlegR_3CX For what it's worth, the new firmware resolved this issue for us on all affected devices, with no negative side effects.

Thank you for the feedback provided.
