Hi,

I have a strange problem with a Yealink T58W phone.

External calls are resolved correctly via the 3CX contacts, but if an internal call comes the phone tries to resolve the extension number with the 3CX contacts too. Those don't contain the extension numbers and so it takes the first entry in the phone book that contains the number. If add the extension number to the internal contacts of the phone it is resolved correctly.

The strange thing is, that all other Yealink phones in our company resolve internal calls correctly without any further configuration and without any internal saved contact. Accordingly I'm quite confused, as I can't find a reason for this problem.

Has anybody here experienced the same and solved the problem, or has an idea how I can get the phone resolving internal calls correctly?

Kind regards

The phone doesn't understand internal/external callers, it simply looks in the phonebook and if a match is found its shown.

You can factory reset and reprovision to confirm the default behavior, but beyond that you will have to look at Yealink's documentation or contact their support.

Thanks for the reply, it actually looks like the T58W takes the first number that contains the extionsion number in the remote phone book and not the best match. I contacted the Yealink support for that.
