Hi all,

I have set a queue and a ring group to prepend the queue/ring group name on an incoming call. This shows fine on the 3CX app but on a yealink phone it displays the caller ID - is there a way to set this to behave like the app?

Kind regards,

David.

Hi @David F Smith

What Yealink phones do you have? Did you provisione the phones through 3CX?

Hi, this is on a Yealink T53 router phone - just testing the capability to have the name of the ring group or queue show on its display so user can answer with the correct name "hello you are through to support" for example when the support queue is rung.

This was provisioned through 3CX yes.

The phone should show what the web client show unless the number you are calling from exists as a contact in the phones phonebook.
Otherwise it should the inbound rule:Queue:Number and it should scroll if the name is too big.
Make sure that you have the "Prepend Name" option enabled under Advanced / Contacts / Options.

Ah yes - so the phone book entry will override the alpha tag. I've removed the number from phonebook and can confirm this now works. Thank you.

Glad to be able to help
