Tapi: Call marked as incoming instead outgoing

Hello

we use a custom cti application with 3cx tapi.
When we make a call with the 3cx windows client (outgoing call) the call is listed as incoming in our cti app.

Our cti app developer says that the tapi driver is transmitting the number as incoming call.
Is it known that there is a bug?

Are you making the call from the Windows client in CTI mode, controlling a desk phone? In that case, if this is not a supported phone, the call might be initiated by the "MakeCall" IVR, which calls your extension first, and then the external number. In that case, the call is indeed an inbound call to your extension. Can you confirm if this is your case? Do you see the caller's name as "MakeCall" when you start this call?

We are only using softphone (Windows client), from softphone mode with the tapi extension enabled.

Do you see the text "MakeCall"? Or you see the contact name of the destination number?

Please reproduce the issue, and then send me the file "%AppData%\3CXPhone for Windows\Logs\3CXPhoneForWindows.log" in a private message, so I can take a look. Please provide the details of the call you made (date, time, destination).

Thanks for sending the logs.

I managed to reproduce the issue myself as well. When you make the call from the Windows client, it is reported to TAPI as an inbound call. This looks like a bug, I will report this internally so we can provide a fix in a future version of the 3CX client for Windows.
