Hello,

I want to setup SIP-Trunk for a product which is not supported (Teldio RBX). This software based "RBX" solution will be used for communication between pmr devices (like Motorola Mototrbo radios) and phone subscribers. The communication between both systems needs to be established via SIP-TRUNK. Therefore I have setup latest V16.06.655 OnPremise. So RBX app and 3CX OnPremise are installed within same LAN. In same LAN I have 2 windows 3CX softphones which are already up and running. The RBX app has an internal IVR which is reachable via extension 8000.I need to know how to setup SIP-Trunk to this system to be able to use one of my sip softphones to connect to this RBX system (I should here a prompt after connection to ID 8000 is establised). The pmr radio subscribers will use ID's 1201 and 1202. My Softphones ID's are: 1212 and 1212.
This is a test environment. There is no need to connect to an external provider via SIP. We just need to communicate locally.

Solution Overview

Question(s):
- anyone knowing this Teldio RBX system and familar with SIP setup ? On the RBX system I can only define the following parameters: Name (SIP Trunk). IP, Username, Password, Maximum numbers of simultaneous calls, Should Register (Yes/No).

- any ideas regarding correct setup within 3CX to get this done ?

From manfucaturer point of view, 3CX pabx should be work with Teldio RBX app from interop point of view.

Best Regards
Andreas

You are correct, it should work. I recommend engaging a local 3CX partner to assist with this.

@leejor thank you for your help. I will go through this archived post and let you know if bridge setup will enable communication between 3cx pabx and rbx.

@cobaltit I have already tried to get support from a local 3cx partner. They are unsure if they can help me ?! They will decide this afternoon if they are able to support me. 3CX support will not support this because RBX is not a certified product.

as said, we are evaluating 3CX. I need to install a professional or enterprise license first, to be able to setup Bridge Master/Slave. Or is it possible to get this feature as trial as well ?

our partners in this topic can assist you with a trial.

Hi Stefan. We have already setup Trial, but this specific feature is not available within the trial software we got. Regards, Andreas

our partners can convert your trial for free for a period of time for you to test it!

got now enterprise license as trial :)

Hello. I have setup the Master Bridge as described in the time machine forum post (archive). Using wireshark and I see a register but get a "404 User unknown". Login credentials seems correct. Any ideas ?

Does the 3CX Activity Log give any more detail. as to what the PBX sees as incorrect?

The remote IP may end up being blacklisted after a number of failed attempts.

Hi all. After several tries to get the authorisation issue solved, we changed our settings. We setup a generic sip trunk instead of using bridge, and now everything is working fine. We set authentication to ip-based and used no SIP-User ID and as well no authentication password. Teldio "RBX" is not a ASTERISK system - it is a FreeSwitch pbx. We setup DDI's, dis some adotions regardin inbound/outbound parameters (to show correct caller name and number) and setup a outbound rule and inbound rules for all extenstions. That's it. Thank you all !
