Solved Telnyx - Anonymous Caller ID Issues

Dear 3CX Community,

I'm running into an issue terminating *5 (*67) blocked calls through Telnyx.

Per their documentation on "How to Anonymize Caller ID Number" the PBX should do the following.

1) Set the "Privacy: id" header
Per the SIP trace I can see that 3CX is correctly setting this flag on invite - you can see it set below.

2) Set the "From" header to "Anonymous" <sip:anonymous@anonymous.invalid>;tag=12345-6789"
I believe this is what is causing the call to fail, due to how 3CX is formatting the invite. It is not anonymizing the domain port part of the URI.

My understanding is that Telnyx is fully supported and certified by 3CX; so I don't understand why this is not working. Do I have to change a setting 3CX that is not being disclosed by Telnyx's documentation.

Can someone with a Telnyx trunk confirm if you can hide your Caller ID by dialing via *5 (*67)

Try changing the From: UserPart to the value shown below and let me know if that works. Leave everything else as they were in the default template

Your suggestion has resolved the issue on my end and I can now send anonymous dialing via *5 / *67.

Looks like the documentation provided by Telnyx is no longer relevant.
