Hello,
we have in 3cx PBX SIP Trunk Deutsche Telekom. And Some things not working, for example when we calling from Deutsche Vodafone, we must dial number in international format (with 0049).

Now exist for Deutsche Telekom NGN new updated Template. I think new Template = better functionality.
Is it possible simple update Trunk settings or we must old Trunk delete and create new Trunk and then again add all inboud / outbound rules?

SIP trunk template is not dealing with outbound rules or how you dial specific destinations. For this you need to create / modify outbound rules.

So updating template may change only the SIP server address, proxy server, registration, etc.
If trunk is working normally, you don't need to change anything.

Hello @Tomas Raska

Adding to what sip.bg and leejor suggested and to answer your question, a new template does mean better functionality either because an issue was detected or perhaps a provider changed something and we needed to accommodate for that change with a change in the template, so it always advised to always use the newer template when available. To apply the new template you need to re create the trunk though.

And we have too problem with identification. We have incoming rule, where is set forward call to external number. And on this external number when come forwarded call, we see identification only SIP Trunk main number, not caller number. This is OK? Is it possible to setup some settings, that we can see caller number?

Thomas...

If your provider allows you to send, as caller ID, numbers other than those assigned by them, then there are outbound options in the trunk group settings, that may allow the CID to be sent from the original caller.

Have a read through this, and keep in mind, any changes may have unforeseen consequences down the road, to other types of calls, so keep track of the original settings.

If you navigate to our site and look under DeutscheTelekom (SIP Trunk) you will see that Clip no screening is offered by the provider but it is a separate paid service. If you have paid for that service then the new template accounts for that no further changes are needed. The new default template will work out of the box.
