Test email server

Is there a way to test the email configuration in the General|Mail Server tab?

I tried unsuccessfully to get it to work with our Exchange 2013 server even though I could send email from the 3cx machine via telnet to the Exchange server. Finally had to set up the IIS SMTP server on the 3cx machine but would strongly prefer using the exchange server so want to be able to tinker and then force a test email.

Also, I don't see email communications in the 3cx log. Does 3cx log its email transactions?

It would be awesome if there was a test button for the SMTP config but sadly there is not
Could you do a wireshark capture on your 3CX server and try sending a welcome email for a extension.
The wireshark will have the SMTP handshake info and hopefully will show the issue.

PM me the wireshark capture.
If you could also send a screenshot of the SMTP config you have.

I have a bunch of customers using exchange2007/2010/2013 with no issues so should be able to figure it out.
