Text showing up on page when you put email address into settings

I put the email address into the designated box. The mail icon shows up in the chatbox just fine, but now I also have text on the bottom of the page that says "email address is valid." I know it is due to this plugin because removing the shortcode caused it to disappear.

If I just comment those lines out, will it cause me any issues or simply get rid of the unwanted text?

Unwanted text from the website will disappear.
