The firewall is all green all services running but can't connect to 3cx using FQDN

I have installed 3cx on windows 11, I can access the console via FQDN but can't access it from any other computer. what could be the issue?

Regarding your question, are you trying to access the management console from computers within the same network as the 3cx system machine? or from outside the network where the machine is installed since you are mentioning the firewall?

Thank you for your reply... I am trying to access it from both sides, neither from the network nor outside the LAN I'm I able to access it. It's only working on the server

To access the management console within the same network, you must create Split DNS to point the external FQDN to the local IP on your on-premise server. From outside, you need to open (NAT port forward) the HTTPS port specified when you installed the system on your firewall (TCP 5001 by default).

I had incorrectly configured port forwarding for the 5001.

I see, and from what I have understood, you want to know how to set up DNS on your network, correct?

Again this is out of our scope at 3cx as this is implemented either from, say, a Domain controller with the Active Directory domain.

It can not be done on the same machine as the 3sx System.

Having said this, if you do not have a Domain to configure DNS or a network device with DNS capabilities and have a small Peer to Peer network and assign all your computers with static IPs etc., You can edit each computer's host file and make the entry manually.

FQDN IP of 3cx machine
my3cxsystem.3cx.uk 192.168.1.2
